Blogs are the equivalent of potentially public diaries.
If you tell people about this, then it could become a public diary.
Blogs and Diaries (Journals)have many personal uses. Expressing youreslf, going to your early posts seeing how much you've changed over a year or so, what problems you had and how you delt with them etc.
Also, part of being a good blogger is not worrying about how many people read it.
