Another

Another unwanted guest came to visit me last week. Excpet this was at my home away from home. As I was out on my site working a young rattle snake decided that it wanted to be part of the action and hang around the engine since it is nice and warm and offers lots of vibration.

Well I was not having any of it because I am not looking to be bit and to have all the joy that would come from it. So I had to end it's life before mine became fully in trouble. I know that the temperatures are fallling and it was just looking for a home but just as in the previous encounter, my home is not their home...



I also have to give a shout out to my friend who I have missed all summer. We finally got to do some catching up on the phone today. She got to see her Cubbies and is happy that they are up at the top as the season unwinds. Also I have to send her well wishes with some other topics that I won't mention here. Lastly, as her DT title is soon coming to an end, I wish her the best as being addressed as HM1.

Umm

I am really doing a poor job at using this site what it is for. I really wish that I could find the motivation to write more or the time. So for now I will leave you with some pics I took up in the mountains west of Durango last weekend. It was nice seeing the old mining structure in the same condition as last summer and coming across an old cabin but new place to me. My favorite though was finding raspberry's and eating them before the bears got to them. Also for the old smelter chimney that has been there for a while. Enjoy and have a great long weekend.
